Live Chat with Your Agent

The Live Chat feature in GRUP allows you to talk directly with your agent before and after deployment. It provides a private sandbox environment where you can simulate real conversations, test agent behavior, and refine how it responds to different types of inputs. This is a core part of the iteration loop, helping you optimize your agent without disrupting your actual community.

Why Use Live Chat?

  • Preview how your agent will respond in group settings

  • Test task outputs, tone, and personality before going live

  • Debug issues or incorrect replies using natural language prompts

  • Iterate quickly without the need to redeploy

Accessing the Live Chat

  1. Navigate to the Chat tab from the main dashboard

  2. Select the agent you want to test

  3. Start typing messages to simulate real user input

The agent will respond as if it were in your group, using the current setup:

  • Linked project knowledge

  • Active tasks and triggers

  • Current tone and personality

What You Can Test

  • Responses to FAQs or token-specific questions

  • Reactions to keywords or prompt phrases

  • Behavioral changes based on updated personality or tone

  • Outputs from defined tasks (e.g., what it says when a trigger condition is met)

Iteration Workflow

Use the Live Chat to improve your agent in real-time:

  1. Enter a test question or scenario

  2. If the answer is not ideal, return to the agent configuration

  3. Adjust tone, personality, knowledge, or tasks

  4. Save changes and re-test immediately in Chat

This creates a fast, controlled loop for refining agent behavior before exposing it to the community.

Post-Launch Testing

Even after your agent is live, you can continue to test privately using Chat. This is helpful for:

  • Testing new task variations

  • Rewriting replies to trending topics

  • Previewing knowledge updates before public release
